All of The Bahamas are important to Alton. His works include scenes from across the country and Key West, Florida (sister city to New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay)

Key West, FL and New Plymouth, GTC became sister cities in 1977. Part of the history includes a lumber shortage in Key West, so some Bahamians living there went back to Green Turtle Cay, disassembled their houses, shipped the pieces to Florida, and built them again on Key West.
